Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How will cars be parked?
A:
We park vehicles according to height; cars park together, mini vans park together and the tallest vehicles must park in the back. We will do our best to park vehicles in this fashion to ensure that everyone can see the screen. Our event team may modify policies under varying conditions.
PLEASE respond to the vehicle question when you get your ticket, so we know the size of your car.
For social distancing, we will park cars every other spot and in a checkerboard fashion. There will be 10 feet min. between vehicles.

Q: Moveis during the day? How?
A: Rhythm EFX  is our technology partner. Rythm EFX will be providing the same LED wall technology used in event centers such as Fiddlers Green Amphitheater. Many outdoor festivals also use this same technology for all day events.  Unlike video projection, LED wall is capable of competing with the sun, for this reason the Loveland Drive-In will be able to do multiple showing each day with shows starting at 9am!

Q: When will I know what is showing? When are tickets on sale?
A: We will release tickets by Wednesday prior to the weekend as we monitor the weather to make sure it will not be too hot. Tickets will be available online until sold out.
We work with the movie distribution company for rights permission. We will annouce movie titles as we get approval week by week.

Q: How early can we enter?
A: We will allow entry 45 min. in advance. Please do not show up earlier, as we need to have staff ready to direct traffic correctly in the lot. See LOCATION

Q: Are buses allowed?
A: No, we cannot allow campers, semi-trucks, buses, etc. Regular passenger vehicles are the only ones permitted. (typically seat no more than 8 with seat belts). You can have as many people in your car as you have legal seat belts.

Q: We are coming as a group, can we park together?
A: We recommend you purchase tickets online at the same time to avoid sell out (missing out on tickets), and ARRIVE at the same time so that we can park you next to each other. If you have varying vehicle sizes, we will park you in a way that makes the most sense out of fairness to others.

Q: How will we be able to hear the sound?
A: We will broadcast all audio through radio station FM 106.9. You can tune in through your car radio or a portable radio. We do not recommend you leave your car running through the entire show for environmental reasons. We will post reminders throughout the show with a notice to start your car on occasion so that you don't drain your car battery.

Q: Can we bring our own food?
A: You may bring food, but we encourage you to purchase food through our vendor partners. This fundraiser is for the Thompson Education Foundation and is also a way for us to support local businesses and help them keep their staff employed.

Q: What about alcohol?

A: We do not hold a liquor license. This is a family-friendly fundraising event. Alcohol is not permitted.

Q: Are dogs allowed?
A: No pets are allowed at this pop-up fundraising event.

Q: Do you have a rain check or cancellation policy?
A: We are open rain or shine. We reserve the right to cancel due to sever weather conditions and will alert guests through email if we need to do so. If an act of mother nature should interrupt our showings and we cannot continue due to the safety of our guests, we will deal with it appropriately.  Our screen is operational in daylight, moonlight and rain.  We reserve the right to cancel due to intense heat for your protection. As this is a fundraiser, we DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS.

Q:  Can I turn my SUV/ Van/ Truck around and open the hatch?
A: We want you to be as comfortable as possible, so feel free to turn your vehicle around. Please be sure that your dome lights are turned off as to not bother other movie-goers and that your hatch does not extend past your roof line. Bungee cords or rope to help support that request is sufficient.

Q: Can I attend more than one show in a row?
A: You are welcome to attend all shows, but you must leave after the show, and re-enter once we open again at the designated entry time. All vehicles must leave after the show. No lay-overs.

Q: Can I sit outside of my vehicle?
A: Yes, with caution.  We require all guests over the age of 2 to wear a mask if outside of your vehicle. You can sit in front or to the side of your vehicle, so long as, you are not within 6 feet of other guests who are not with your party.

Q: What about restrooms?
A: We have restrooms available. You MUST wear a mask when outside of your vehicle. We are regulating the number of people who wait in line at restrooms, number of guests in the restroom, and will keep them sanitized with hospital grade cleaners. We will keep up on all government regulations around sanitation and safety.

Q: What about the heat?
A: Great question! We clearly care about this since we have a Q&A question about it. We ask all guests to use their best judgement. We urge you to keep yourself and loved ones cool and comfortable. Bring plenty of water, bring sunblock, bring your own shade (within reason),

Q: Can I set up a tent?
A: No, we don't want to block the view for other guests. There are low profile ways to provide shade for yourself. Personal umbrellas are great. Beach umbrellas are good as well, as long as you are not infringing on the space of others, or over the height of your vehicle. Shade example for family

Q: Can I leave my car running during the show?
A: We request that for noise levels and environmental reasons that you DO NOT  leave your car running for the entire show. To ensure that you do not drain your battery while listening to the car radio, you can start your car and let it run for a little while, then turn it off. We will have reminders pop up on the big screen for those who are worried about battery drainage. Of course, if it gets too hot to be outside, next to your vehicle, you can sit inside in the air. We just ask that you only run it on occasion, not the full show.  If your battery dies, see the local tow info also on this page.

Q: Is smoking allowed?

A: No smoking is permitted in the event area, around others. This goes for cigarettes, e-cigs and cannabis.

Q: How do I donate?
A: Your suggested donation for a ticket covers our event overhead cost. Any net profit goes to the Thompson Education Foundation. Any additional donations can be made directly to the Thompson Education Foundation  HERE.

Q: What should I donate?
A: A donation is simply suggested. You do not have to donate $20. You can donate more, or even less. If we do not make an average of $20 per car, we will not be able to maintain this pop up drive-in for 6 weeks, or raise money for the Thompson Education Foundation.

Q: What about the other NoCo Drive-In
A: We spoke with the owner and got her blessing on this temporary event/fundraiser. We both feel there is plenty of need and interest in outdoor events right now that are socially SAFE. The family that owns the Holiday Twin is kind and supportive. They offered us help if we need it, and we could not be more grateful! We encourage you to support them as well!

Q: Where do we park?
A: Please see the driving directions and map LOCATION.

Q: Do you offer the option for subtitles?
A: Yes, we can and we have. Simply send us an email with your request and we can accommodate. Older movies don't always offer the option, but so far we have been able to accommodate every request.
